    Wrought Iron Gates Types

They come in several types, each designed for specific needs and preferences. Let’s dive into the most common varieties:

    • Single Swing Gates. They consist of one large panel that swings outward or inward. Single wrought iron gates are ideal for smaller spaces or driveways since they offer a classic, simple look. The unique aspect of them is their minimal space requirement for operation.
    • Double Swing Gates. These simple wrought iron gates are made of two panels that meet in the middle, making them well-suited for larger entrances. They require more space to operate but provide a grand entrance appearance. They’re great for wide access points because of their symmetrical openings.
    • Sliding Gates. They move horizontally along a track. This feature makes them perfect to be used for wrought iron entry gates in properties with limited space in the front or on steep driveways where swinging types are impractical. In addition to saving space, these types also provide robust security.
    • Automatic Gates. Any of the above types can be automated. These types open and close at the touch of a button. The primary advantage of these modern wrought iron gates is convenience, as they do not require manual effort to operate. They’ve got sensors and remote controls that enhance security.

    Wrought Iron Gates Designs

The design possibilities with wrought iron are nearly endless. The range of styles available ensures that every homeowner can find an option that complements their property’s architecture.

Popular designs are floral motifs, typically used for antique wrought iron gates, which add a natural and elegant touch. Geometric patterns are another favorite, offering a more modern and structured look. For those seeking a personal touch to have decorative wrought iron gates, customized monograms are great options, providing a unique signature element to your entrance.

Aside from the design, the wrought iron gate hardware, like hinges and latches, also plays a role in the overall look and operation. Latches and hinges often range from sleek, modern lines to more ornate, vintage styles.

The folks at Vegas valley ironworks really came through when I was in need. Had a unique situation, spoke to Tricia and she walked me through the entire process…. They had a gate solution in minutes. Install was just as smooth, Seth and his team came out, had to make some on-site tweaks, and had all the material right on their truck. I couldn’t be happier with their product.

These guys are top notch! They custom built a double side gate for us, and removed/refinished our courtyard gate. Pictures don't do it justice, but I've attached a couple anyway.

I worked with Angel to have 2 custom gates built for my house: one side gate and one front patio gate. The site visit and quote were provided less than 24 hours after I first called. Turnaround time for installation was only a few weeks. Let me say that the build quality of these gates is exceptional. Truly masters of their craft. The side gate is an absolute tank. Much thicker gauge steel than you will see with cheaper alternatives or builder grade stuff. All corners are mitered so that there are no plastic caps to close up open ends on the steel tubes, and the welds look very nice. On top of that, the gates are powder-coated which is going to be durable and withstand the heat and sun here. The installation crew, led by Seth, was squared away and completely the job in a timely manner. All hinges are hidden which makes it look clean.
